1775 - 1848,was an English attorney and solicitor, and was one of the first solicitors admitted in Australia and was regarded as the first senior solicitor of the second Supreme Court established in the colony of New South Wales, which is now a State of Australia. French Baroque Era Painter, ca.1605-1676 He dedicated himself exclusively to the art of landscape painting, and it is presumed that he spent his entire career in Paris, as there is no evidence to support claims that he went to Italy. In 1633-4 he was admitted to the guild of St Germain-des-Pr?s and in 1635 was admitted to the Acad?mie de Saint-Luc. In 1651 he took part in a vain attempt to merge the Acad?mie Royale and the Acad?mie de Saint-Luc, after which he remained loyal to the latter.
